MOST UNEXPECTED have become one of the most exciting and popular barn dance bands in the South East. Based in Essex, we have grown into a six piece band performing original arrangements of traditional music from England, Ireland, Scotland and America, providing a fun evening of music and dancing suitable for any occasion.
Most Unexpected was established five years ago but over the last three years original members Jon (bass) and Catherine (caller) have been joined by Mark (Melodeon), Russ (banjo, mandolin, guitars), JP (various) and Nikki (guitar) producing a powerful and unique sound with a great blend of youth, experience and total enthusiasm.
All our members have had many years of experience before joining MOST UNEXPECTED and have individually performed at folk festivals including Sidmouth, Chippenham, Towersey and Whitby with other groups and artists. Please visit our members page for more information.
